W. Simmons, Chairman of the Brazos County Junior Museum, appeared before the Court and requested that the Court install some additional lighting fixtures and outlets in ? the Junior Museum, located on the third floor of the Courthouse. On motion made, seconded, ® and unanimously passed, the Court voted to authorize the installation of such light fixtures 1 and outlets at a coat not to exceed $85.00 The Sheriff's Department presented to the Court bids from George F. Cake Co., Berkeley 10, California, and the A&M Photo Shop of College Station, Texas, on eertairyitems bf photo- graphic supplies to be used by the Sheriff's Department, as follows i George F Cake Co - A&M Photo Shd Graflex Dividing Back - 3 7 Graflex Tripod 29.95, - 33 79 Graphic Stroboflash II with batteries 89 95 95.53 • Faurot Foto-Focuser 29 00 24.65 ± It appearing to the Court that the total bid of the George F. Cake Co. is in the amount of $185 95 and the total bid of the A&M Photo Shop is $187.54 and that, due to the fact that the z supplies,can be obtained much quicker and local service had thereon, it was deemed by the Court that the bid of the A&M Photo Shop was the best of the two bids. M Court finding that the bid of the International Harvester Company is the low bid and is Leo the best bid, on motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to ithorize the Commissioner of Precinct 4 to purchase the new dump truck from the International arvester Company for the am of $4,554.00 Mr A. B. Syptak, County Clerk, presented to the Court the fact that Mrs L. P. Newton ong-time employee of the County Clerk's office, had returned to full-time duty with the Count-3 lerk's office, and requested that her salary be restored to that earned by her prior to going n part-time pay, which was the sum of $300.00 per month On motion made, seconded, and nanimously passed, the Court voted to restore Mrs Newton's salary to $300.00 per month, ffective September 1. 1963 Motion adopted to approve all reports and to pay all bills which have been properly iled and approved.
