Minute Order No. 53113 of the Texas Highway Department was presented to the Court, as follows ,,In BRAZOS COUNTY a FARM TO MARKET ROAD is hereby designated extending from State Highway 21 at West City Limit of Bryan, Southeast to F M. Road 2513, a distance of approximately 2 9 miles, subject to the condition that Brazos County will furnish all required right of way clear of obstructions and free of cost to the State. "At such time as the County shall accept the provision of this Order and agree to the furnishing of the required right of way, the State Highway Engineer is directed to proceed with the engineering development and construction of the project in the most feasible and economical manner, at an estimated coat of,$144,000, and to assume the road for State maintenance upon completion of the construction herein authorized. "This Order is subject to acceptance by the County and if not accepted within 90 days of the date hereof, the action herein contained shall be automatically cancelled. "Minute Number 53113 Date Passed Jun 28 63 to On Motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to accept said Order and to comply with the ter-me and conditions therein set forth Notion adopted to approve all reports and to payrah bills which have been properly filed and approved. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned SPECIAL MEETING - July 26, 1963 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 9 00 o'clock A. M•, on July 26, 1963, with the following present W. C. Davis, County Judge, Presiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1, George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2, C. J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3, , W A. Staeny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, A. B. Syptak, County Clerk The County Judge submitted the proposed budget for the fiscal (calendar) year of 1964, carrying total proposed expenditures and reserves of $631,000.00 with a recommended tax rate of 950 per $100 00 valuation Whereupon Commissioner Dunn moved that the budget be accepted and public hearing set thereon, and Commissioner Staeny seconded this motion, which was unanimously adopted. Notion made, duty seconded, and unanimously adopted, by which it was ordered that the proposed budget for 1964 be filed with the County Clerk and set down for public hearing in th4 Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, at 10 00 A. M. on Friday, August 16, 1963, and that public advertisement of this hearing be made by publishing the following notice in the Bryan Daily Eagle of Bryan, Texas, once each week for three weeks prior to the public hearing "NOTICE OF HEARING ON BRAZOS COUNTY BUDGEfFOR 1964 "Public notice is hereby given that pursuant to action of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, taken on July 26, 1963, open public hearing will be held in the Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at 10 00 A. M on Friday, August 16, 1963, for consideration of the 1964 Budget for Brazos County, submitted to the Court on July 26, 1963, and now remain- ing on file in the office of the County Clerk of said County, all in accordance with law "Taxpayers and others interested are invited and urged to acquaint them- selves with the said budget during the time it remains on file with the Clerk L • F7, t` J • July 26, 1963 409 1 before the hearing.
