There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. , • SPECIAL MEETING - MAY 2, 1963 , A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the County Judge's office in the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at 9 00 A M. on May 2, 1963,•,' with the following present W. C Davis, County Judge, presiding, Raymond Nolan, Commissioner, Precinct L; George Dunn, Commissioner, Precinct 2, C. J. Porterfield, Commissioner, Precinct 3, W. A. Stasny, Commissioner, Precinct 4 There was also present at the meeting a delegation of the Trustees of the Brazos t ^ County Independent School District, Mr. W D. Bunting, County School Superintendent, and Mr. y Raymond Buchanan, Brazos County Tax Assessor and Collector. { The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the request of the Brazos County Inds- pendent School District for an office in the Courthouse from which to collect the School District taxes. After much discussion, on motiorp&ade, duly seconded, and unanimously ca the Court voted to authorize the Tax Collector for the Brazos County Independe c ool r ' District to occupy space in the office of the Brazos County Tax Assessor and Collector until 3 September 1, 1963, at which time other space would be made available for,such office etlewha i t in the Courthouse. • V R { There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. k l The Foregoing Minutes, beginning on Page 401 and concluded on Page 403, were exami pproved in open Court, on this the 13th day of May, 1963. (Red) Gray, Constable of Precinct No. 4 174.45 The Court next considered the request of the Brazos County Independent School District Trustees for space in the Courthouse to be used for the Tax Collector of said District, and on motion by George Dunn, seconded by Raymond Nolan, the County Judge was instructed to notify the Department of Public Welfare to vacate the room formerly occupied by the Brazos County Veterans Service Officer by July 1, 1963, same to be allocated to the said School District Tax Collector. On motion duly made, seconded, and unanimously passed, George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct No 2, was authorized to sell an old truck belonging to his Precinct, for junk. A. B. Syptak, County Clerk, then made a request to the Court to purchase new filing shelves for his office, and the Court having determined that such shelving is needed in the County Clerk's office, on motion by W. C.
