M., on Thursday, March 14, 1963, withithe following present W. C. Davis, County Judge, presiding, r Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No 1, George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct No 2, C. J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No 3, W. A. Stasny,'Commissioner of Precinct No 4, A. B. Syptak, County Clerk. The purpose of the meeting was to canvass the returns of the Local Option Election held an March 9, 1963, in Justice Precinct No 5 in Brazos County, Texas, wherein the quali- fied voters of such Precinct voted on the proposition, "For the Legal Sale of All Alcoholic Beverages" and "Against the Legal Sale of ALL Alcoholic Beverages." which election was held pursuant to the Order of this Court on the 11th day of February, 1963, it being determined that such election was held on Saturday, March 9, 1963, and that this, the 14th day of March, 1963, is the fifth day after such election, and the Court proceeded to canvass the results of such election The Court determined that there were 142 votes cast in such election, and that the proposition, "For the Legal Sale of All Alcoholic Beverages," received 75 votes and the proposition, "Against the Legal Sale of All Alcoholic Beverages," received 67 votes, and that said election was held according to law pursuant to the orders of this Court, and that the proposition carried as aforesaid, and it is hereby ordered by the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, that the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages in Justice Precinct Number 5 in Brazos County, Texas, be and the same is hereby declared to be lawful and legal in such Justice Precinct Number 5 until such time as the qualified voters therein may there- after, at a legal election held for that purpose, by a majority vote decide otherwise There being no further business, the meeting adjourned SPECIAL MEETING - MARCH 27, 1963 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, beginning at 9 00 A. M on Wednesday, March 27, 1963, with the following present W. C. Davis, County Judge, presiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No 1 George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct No 2 W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct No 4, and A. B. Syptak, County Clerk The purpose of the meeting was a conference with Mr John Blasien, Jr.. representing the State Highway Department, for setting a preference by the Court for the designation'of Farm to Market Roads to be constructed in Brazos County during the year 1963. r On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to express its preference to the Highway Department for the following roads, in the order indicated No. I Road in Precinct 4, extending from Highway 21 to FM Road 2513, and sometimes known as the Sanitary Farm Road I . , . No 2.
