HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-12-10-1000AM-Regular1 ~j t r 375 7 November 13, 1962 (Cont'd) lit The Court next considered the various group hospitalization and life insurance plane submitted to it by several different companies, and upon examination and discussion of said plans is of the opinion that the plan offered and proposed by Blue Cross- Blue Shield of Texas for hospitalization is the best of the plane submitted for the premium to be charged • and on motion made, seconded, and unanimously carried, the Court accepted the plan of Blue Cross- Blue Shield of Texas, whereby the said group plan hospitalization and life insurance shall be put into effect and the County pay one-half of the premium each month on the officers and employees of the County only, effective December L, 1962, or upon the required h number of persona subscribing to the plan to put same into effect, whichever date is first. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved. Gray, Constable of Justice Precinct 4 . . . . . . . 61.95 On motion duly seconded and passed, Ed Skubal was appointed Justice of the Peace of Precinct No. 6, to fill vacancy caused by the death of Arthur Corgey. The Court then considered the bide on a 2-1/2-ton truck to be purchased by the Commissioner of Precinct No 1, and it appearing to the Court that two bids were submitted, one by the Cade Motor Company in the amount of $4,398 97 and the other by Corbusier Chevrolet Company of Bryan, Texas, in the amount of $4,296 98, and it further appearing to the Court that the bid of the Corbusier Chevrolet Company is the low bid and should be accepted by the Court, therefore, on motion made, duly seconded, and unanimously passed, Raymond Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1, was authorized to purchase the 1963 Chevrolet 2-1/2-ton truck from the said Corbusier Chevrolet Company for the sum of $4,296.98 On motion duly seconded and passed, December 24 was declared a Courthouse holida On motion duly seconded and passed, the Court voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved, where funds are available Whereupon the Court adjourned. t * t ,r t • ,t * * t t * f t * ,t * ,r ,t ,t ,r * ,t * ,t * t * * ,t * * * * * : # * f t * * * * w The foregoing Minutes, beginning on page 375 and concluded on page 376, were e nd approved in open Court on this the 14th day of January, 1963.
