M., on Monday, August 13, 1962, with the following present: d. C. Davis, County Judge, Presiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1, George Dunn, Commissioner of trecinct 2, Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3; W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, and A. B. 3yptkkk, County Clerk. The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted the following reports: B. V. Elkins, Veterans Service Officer, for the month or July, 1962 Brazos County -jelfare Board, for the month of July, 1962, by B. V. 81kins, Chairman, Donald Douglas, Assistant Agricultural Agent, for the month of July, 1962 William T. Sistrunk, County Agricultural Agent, for the month of July, 1962 Emily Ritter, Brazos County Home Demonstration Agent, for the month of July, 1962 E. 0. Gray, Constable,,,Justico Precinct 4. x. 101.100. • r. • I 1 • s~ 3 367 Au st 13, 1 962 On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to approve the request of the Fish and Game commission and authorized them to install their radio antennae on top of the Brazos County courthouse. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court authorized County Judge Davis to secure bids for the painting of the trims on the doors and windows of the F County Courthouse. County clerk Syptak appeared before the court and requested that he be allowed to transfer $800.00 to the county Clerk's Extra Help Account, and on motion duly z seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to authorize Mr. 3yptak to have the $800. transferred to the Extra Help Account of the County I-lerk's Office. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pai kil bills which have been ppoperly filed and approved. Whereupon the Court adjourned. SP& IAL Mi~tTING - AUGUST 16, 1962 A s i l ti f ' pec a mee ng o the commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' courtroom in the courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10:00 o'clock A. M., on Thursday, August 16, 1962, with the following present W. C. Davis, County Judge, Presiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of rrecinct 1, George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2, . • Clyde J. Porterfield, commissioner of Precinct 3; ' W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, and - ' A. B. -'Ilyptak, County Ulerk. In accordance with previous action of the Court and public advertisement , the Court took up the matter of the budget for the year 1963, as submitted by the County' Judge on July 27, 1962. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court accept and approved the budget as submitted and ordered it certified and filed for official use for the calendar year of 1963. The transmittal and summary of this budget are as follows: "July 27, 1962 The Honorable Commissioners' Court of Brazos County Bryan, Texas Gentlemen. As your budget officer and in accordance with the law, there is submitted herewith the proposed budget of Brazos County for the fiscal (calendar) year of 1963, including all anticipated revenues and proposed disbursements. The budget herewith submitted contains the necessary schedules and tabulations in proper detail. The statutes require that the county budget be prepared and submitted during the month of July and that public hearing thereon be held subsequent to August August 15th after ^ which it shall be finally approved and adopted by the Commissioners' Court and then stricly adhered to through the following year. The within budget calls for a total expenditures during the year 1963 of $597 000.00 ` • , , which is an increase of $12,180.00 over 1962. RLDULTION OF INDabTtDNtSS. p For the year 1963, Brazos County Road Bond maturities will be for $33,000.00 plus $9,750.00 in interest, making a total of $42,750.00. The State benefit accruing from the State assum tion and the gasoline tax will be sufficient to take care of and absorb the entire amount. In addition to road bond maturities, we will have courthouse-fail bonds maturing for r $39,000.00 plus $10,200.00 in interest, making a total of $49,200.00.
