Mr. Terry Anderson, Assistant to Mr. Poore, of the United States Department
of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service, from A do M College, appeared before the Court
in regards to a wolf trapper in and for Brazos County, Texas. On motion duly seconded and
unanimously adopted, the Court voted to table the hiring of a wolf trapper at this time.

14r. Russell Hillier, President of the Bryan Foundation Lorporation, appeared
before the Court in regards to locating 4,000 acres of land for an industry interested
in locating in Brazos County.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all
bills which have been properly filed and approved.
Thereupon the Court adjourned.
The foregoing minutes beginning on Page 362, and concluded above, were
examined and approved in open Lourt on this the 9th day of June, 1962.

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, and with the distinct
understanding that Brazos County does not become liable for the construction or maintenance
of any public roads by reason thereof, the Court authorized the County k-lark to accept for
filing and recording a plat and dedication of Deer Park Subdivision as submitted by W. T.
Franklin. This approval is made with the understanding that Brazos County does not
become liable for the construction or maintenance of any roads dedicated to the County
by such plat and dedication.
After much discussion and on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted,
the Court agreed that the County would pay one-half of the cost of trapping wolves, and
the individual property owners would pay one-half of the cost for a period of three months.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pqy all
bills which have been properly filed and approved.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.

o'clock A. M., on July 25, 1962, with the following present.

The County Judge submitted the proposed budget for the fiscal (calendar)
'
year of 1963, carrying total proposed expenditures and reserves of $597,000.00 with a
recommended tax rate of 95¢ per $100.00 valuation. Whereupon Commissioner Nolan moved
that the budget be accepted and public hearing set thereon, and Commissioner Porterfield
seconded this motion, which was unanimously adopted.
Motion made, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, by which it was ordered
that the proposed budget for 1963 be filed with the County (.lark and set down for public
hearing in the Commissioners Courtroom in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, at 10:00 ol.clock
A. M., on Thursday, August 16, 1962, and that public advertisement of this hearing be
made by publishing the following notice in the Bryan Daily Nagle of Bryan, Texas, once

each week for three weeks prior to the public hearing

"NOTICL OF MARING ON BRAZOS COUNTY BUUGXT FOR 1963
Public notice is hereby given that pursuant to action of the
Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, taken on July 25,
' 1962, open public hearing will be held in the Commissioners'
r• Courtroom in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, at 10.00 a. m., on
Thursday, August 16, 1962, for consideration of the 1963 Budget `
for Brazos County, submitted to the Court on July 25, 19620 and
now remaining on file in the office of the County Clerk of said
County, all in accordance with law.
Taxpayers and others interested are invited and urged to ac-
quaint themselves with the said budget during the time it remains -1- '
L on file with the Clerk before the hearing.
At the conclusion of the hearing, final action will be taken a_cr
by the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, for the
adoption of the Budget for 1963, as finally agreed upon.
