F M. Road 974
Brazos County vi
Dear Sir.
t+
On October 10, 1961, and in succeeding letters, the
Texas Highway Department advised they were planning the con-
struction of proposed F. M. Highway 974 in Brazos County.
This proposed highway will traverse our Ifest Texas 10-inch
Pipe Line and telephone line at Highway Station No. 575/28.3.
, r
We were requested to lower and properly protect our
-
pipe line in accordance with Highway Department specifications.
SL
No adjustment of our telephone facilities was necessary since
our existing telephone line is at the proper height above this
;w
road.
The estimated cost of lowering and casing our pipe
,
line under the proposed highway is $29381.00. The present
width of the existing county road at this location is fifty
0) feet and the proposed width of the highway is one hundred
(5
R
'
OO) feet. We propose to assume all expense to be encountered
}
within the existing fifty foot road right of way and request
that Brazos County agree to reimburse us for the expense to
,
be encountered outside the existing county road right of way,
being 50/100the of the total estimate, or $1,190.50.
ly `e
Subject to your acceptance, Atlantic will furnish
all labor, equipment, and material necessary to properly pro-
test our pipe line and Brazos County hereby agrees it will
reimburse Atlantic for such expense as detailed above up to a
maximum amount of $1 190.50. We are attaching original and
i
mate for your consideration.

Brazos County that the work will be performed in as economical
a manner as possible and practical, and the account will be
given credit for any saving realized. After the executed copy
of this letter has been received by this office, we will proceed

with the adjustment of our facilities and when the adjustment
t
has been completed, we will forward you our invoice for one
1
half of the actual cost for accomplishing the work not to exceed
a total amount of $2 381.00. We will also furnish you an

executed copy of "Jo
Highway Department for your delivery to them for their records.
