Tax Assessor-Collector Raymond Be Buchanan appeared before the Court and requested,
that he be allowed to secure one blanket bond to cover all of the deputies in his offices a1`
and on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to authorise Mr.
• Buchanan to get one bond in the amount of =5,000.00, to cover all of the employees in #n
his office.
At the request of Raymond Be Buchanan, Tax Assessor-Collector in and for Brazos
County, Texas, ahd on'motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to
allow Mr. Buchanan the maximum amount of 950.00 per month, for the issuing and handling
of litlg Policies. '

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to increase
the salary of Mrs. Mildred Carpenter, Secretary to the county Judge, from $2,700.00
to $2,820.00 annually.
County Judge W. C. Davis laid before the Gourt, the following Order received
from District Judge John M. Barron:
"ORDER OF THE COURT
On this the 28th day of December, 1961, pursuant to Article 2326, Vernon
Annotated Civil Statutes of Texas, and applicable law, the salary of Annie Ruth Ware,
Official Shorthand Reporter for the 85th Judicial District, is set, as of January 1,
1962, at lftf4y-five Hundred ($5500.00) Dollars per year, payable in equal monthly
installments, two-thirds of said salary shall be paid by Brazos County, Texas, and one-
third of said salary shall be paid by Robertson County, Texas, the Gourt finding that
such apportionment is fair and equitable in every respect,
It is further Ordered that this Order be entered in the Minutes of the District
Court of Brazos and Robertson Counties, Texas, as a public record, and that copies of this
order shall be filed with the Commissioners Court of Brazos and Robertson Counties, Texas
immediately.
The salary of the Official Shorthand Reporter having been heretofore set at
Six Thousand ($6,000.00) Dollars per annum, and the decrease in salary having been
temporary only, and this raise in salary being less than heretofore established, it is
Ordered that the printing and publishing of this Order not be required for the effectivenes
of this Order, however, the commissioners Court is at full liberty to publish same for
bhe information of the public if it deems such to be proper.

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to increase
the salary of Annie Ruth Mare, as requested.
On motion made, seconded and unanimously passed, the budget, setting the
salaries of the County o.ficials and employees, with the above exceptions, was approved.
OR motion duly seconded and unanimously passed, the Court voted to allocate
to the four precincts on the following basis the item carried in the Road and Bridge
Budget for 1962 as "Precinct Operating Budget".

Mr. Raymond B. Buchanan, Tax Assessor-ColleeVor of Brazos County, Texas,
appeared before the Court and presented the following bids for new typewriters to he used
in his office.

It appearing to the Court that the proposition of the Otis McDonald's Business'
? fachines company is the low bid and the Court having determined and found that such is the
beet price available for such typewriters, on motion made, duly seconded and unanimously *`r=
• adopted, the Court voted to accept the proposal of the Otis McDonald's Business Machines
and purchase 4 new Olmpia typewriters, less trade-in on old typewriters, for a total sum po
of 8700.00, to be used in the Tax Assessor-Collector's office. f.1-
On recommendation of (.commissioner Raymond A. Nolan, and upon motion duly :'l,
seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to purchase from Corbusier Chevrolet } i
Company, of Bryan, Texas, one (1) 1962 Chevrolet 2b Ton Cab & Chassis, Model No. 08303,,
Serial Number 2C833S119915, for the sum of $5,374.75, and to trade in a 1953 Ford Cab er

and Chassis for =1,279.75, leaving a balance on the purchase price of $4,095.00, such
amount to be paid from hinds available to Precinct No. 1, to which the said vehicle is
hereby allocated."
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Co4rt voted to pay all S•

bills which have been properly filed and approved.
Whereupon, the Court adjourned.
