After much discussion, and upon motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted,
the Court voted to conttbbute 440.00 a month to the salary of an Assistant Civil Defense
Officer, along with the city of Bryan and the City of College Station, Texas, as requested.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all
bills which have been properly filed and approved, and for which budgeted funds are
available.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court took recognition
of the fine work of-Fannie J. Taylor, Negro County Home Demonstration Agent of Brazos
County, Texas, for which she was presented a by the State Home Demonstration
Association of Texas.
At the request of Fannie J. Taylor, Negro County Home Demonstration Agent
of Brazos County, Texas, and on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court
authorised Mrs. Taylor to attend the Executive Board Meeting of the National Association
of Negro Home Demonstration Agents in Daytona Beach, Florida, on January 11-16, 1962.
Mr. and Mrs. Simmons, representing the Committee for Natural History,
appeared before the Court and requested room in the courthouse for displays for the
children of this community. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court
voted to allow the committee for Natural History to use a room on the third floor of
the Brazos County Courthouse for their displays for children, with the understanding that
it would be removed when space was needed for an office.
Mr. F. T. c.ole, District clerk of arazoa county, Texas, appeared before the
court and requested the County to purchase a duplicating machine to be used in his office,
and on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to authorize Mr. Cole
to purchase a Photostat Model 9 Office Copier and supplies from the Photostat Corporation
at a total cost of 0130.60.
On motion made, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the court voted to
close the Courthouse and the various County Offices on Saturday, December 23, through
Tuesday, December 26, and also close the courthouse again on December 30, 1961, through
January 1, 1962.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the court voted to pay all
bills which have been properly filed and approved.
