M., on October 24, 1961, with the following bresent: W. C. Davis, County Judge, Presiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Lommissioner of Precinct 1, and W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4. The special purpose of this meeting was to pass on a resolution introduced by County Commissioner'Nolan to have Brazos Lounty execute a dead conveying to A. Z. Edwards and Mrs. T. J. McCallum, both of Millican, Texas, all of Burnet Street in the town of Nillican, Texas, except the part covered by State Highway in said town of Millican, Texas. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to authorise Brazos County, Texas, to execute a deed conveying to A. I. rdwards and Airs. T. J. McLallum, both of Millican, Texas, all of Burnet Street in the town of Millican, Texas, except the part covered by State Highway in said town of Millican, in Brazos County, Texas. There being no further business, the Lourt adjourned. ss a •o*o*aooesooa•* 3rovial Meeting - October 12. 1961 , A special meeting of the Lommissioners Court of Brazos Lounty, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Lourtroom in the courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10:00 o'clock A. M., on October 129 1961, with the following present: W. C. Davis, Lounty Judge, oresiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1, George Dunn, Lommissioner of Precinct 2, Clyde J. Porterfield, Lommissioner of Precinct 3; W. A. Stasny, Lommissioner of Precinct 4; and A. B. Syptak, Lounty Llerk. The special purpose of this meeting was to canvass returns from the local option Special Election held on the 7th day of October, 1961, at the Fudge Community Center in Justice Precinct No. 6, of Brazos Lounty, Texas, and the following order was declared: A,! ~I e r "ORDER DzGLARING RESULT OF ELECTION This, the 12th day of October, 1961, came on to be canvassed by the r Commissioners' Lourt of Brazos Lounty, Texas, the returns of a certain Local Option Election heretofore called by the Lommiasionera' Court of said Lounty to be held on ti I the 7th day of October, 1961, at the Community tenter in Edge, Texas, to enable the freeholders of Justice Precinct Number Six in said County to determine whether or not the sale of beer for off-premises consumption should be prohibited or legalized, and it appearing to the Lommissionera' Court, upon so canvassing the retarns of such election, that 33 votes were cast for the legal sale of beer for oil-premises consumption only and 62 votes were cast against the legal sale of beer for olf-premises consumption only, and th t l such election carried for the proposition "against the legal sale of beer for off-premises consumption only," IT IS ALLORUINGLY ORDLRED that such election was properly held, and the sale of beer for off-premises consumption is absolutely prohibited in Justice rrecinct C it Six in prazoa ~I ~J v is ,343 4 f bar 12, 1961 • D I • E The above and foregoing Order of the commissioners' court was duly passed on the 12th day of October, A.
