The Court received, examined, approved and ordered filed and recorded the bond for 92,500.00 of James R. Grubbs as a Public Weigher in and for Justice Precinct 4, of Brazos County, Texas, dated June 5, 1961, and executed by St. Paul Mercury Ineurance Company,'all as authorized by Article 5704 of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Gourt voted to accept" a painting of the old Brazos County Courthouse, prepared by Jess Be McGee, and ordered sage to be placed in the lobby of the courthouse. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved. Whereupon the Court adjourned. **se*•a+aeo w*s* SPhCIAL MrhTING - JULY 27. 1961 A special meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, was-, held in the Commissioners Courtroom in the courthouse, at Bryan, beginning at 9:Q0 A. M., on Thursday, July 27, 1961, with the following present. W. C. Davis, County Judge, Presiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1, George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 21 Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3, W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, and A. Be byptak, County Clerk. The County Judge submitted the uroposed budget for the fiscal (calendar) year of 1962 carrying total proposed expenditures and reserves of 9564,820.00, which is $4,680.00 less than was budgeted for the year 1961, and with a recommended tax rate of 95¢ per $100.00 valuation. Whereupon Commissioner Nolan moved that the budget be accepted and public hearing set thereon, and Commissioner Porterfield seconded this motion, which was unanimously adopted. Motion was made, duly seconded, and unanimously adopted, by which it was ordered that the proposed budget for 1962 be filed with the County Clerk and set down for public hearing in the Commissioners Courtroom in the courthouse at Bryan, Texas, at 10:00 o'clock A.
