A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was
held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at ,
10:00 o'clock A. M., on May 8, 1961, with the following present.

Tax Assessor-Collector Raymond B. Buchanan appeared before the court and
requested the court to authorise him and Mr. W. D. Burley, Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector,
to attend the Tax Assessor-collectors Conference to be held in Houston, Texas, on May 15-16,
1961, and on motion made, seconded and unanimously passed, the Court voted to authorise
the attendance at such sonference,by Mr. Buchanan and Mr. Burley and the County to pay
their expenses at same.
On recommendation of District Judge John M. Barron, and upon motion duly
seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to retain the services of Bernard J.
Vogelgesang, as Probation Officer for Brazos county, Texas, until gay 15. 1961, instead of
terminate the said duties on May 1, 1961, as was previously ruled at the April Meeting.

On motion made, seconded and unanimously
adopted, the Court voted to pay
all bills presented as of this date by Mr. Bernard Vogelgesang, Probation Officer in and
for Brazos County, Texas.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all
bills which have been properly filed and approved.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.
