A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was

held throughout Brazos County, Texas, on Saturday, April 1, 1961, for the election of local
trustees for the common school districts, and for one member of the County Board of Edueatf

Whereupon, based upon the foregoing tabulation of the returns received, the
G6urt found and declared that Messrs. H. L. Oargill, Leon Stevener, and Joe Novosad had
been elected as the three local trustees for Kurten Oonsolidated Oommon School District
No. 10; that W. W. Humphries had been elected as a member of the Oounty Board of Education
from Commissioner's Precinct No. 2; and that Arthur J. Yeager had been elected as a
member of the County Board of Education from Commissioner's Precinct No. 4; and that
George B. Wilcox had been elected as a member-at-large of the Oounty Board of Education
from the County as a whole; and it was so ordered.
After discussion and at the request of District Judge John M. Barron, a
motion was made, duly seconded and unanimously adopted to terminate the services of
Bernard J. Vogelgesang as Probation Officer of Brazos County, Texas, effective May 1, 1961,
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court approved the
issuance of a $40,000.00 time Warrant for the ourposes of purchase of road machinery
and rights-of-way to be used by Precincts Nos. Two and Three, (120,000.00) to be for the
use Of each Precinct). The warrant will be paid in Four (4) equal annual installments,
beginning on May 1, 1962, and will bear interest from date at the rate of not to exceed
5% per arnum, interest payable May 1, 1962, and annually thereafter. It is further
ordered that there shall be an annual collection by taxation of a sufficient fund to
pay all interest on said warrant and to create a sinking fund sufficient to retire
all installments on said warrant as they may become due and payable. Such warrant shall
be sold to the best bidder and shall be paid out of the "Road and Bridge" Fund.
Motion was made, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, that the Oourt would
approve the bond of O. E. Gray, as Oonstable of Precinct 4, in and for Brazos Goanty,
Texas.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all
bills which have been properly filed and approved.
