_Regular Meeting - June 13, 1960
A regular meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held
in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10 00
o'clock A. M , on Monday, June 13, 19601, with the following present
W. C. Davis, County Judge, Presiding, "
Raymond A Nolan, Commissioner, Precinct 1,
George Dunn, Commissioner, Precinct 2,
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner, Precinct 3,
lit W. A. Stasny, Commissioner, Precinct 4; and
A B Syptak, County Clerk
The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted the following reports
Charles H Yeates, 7==Adultc, Probation Officer, for the month of May, 1960.
Miss Emily Ritter, Brazos County Home Demonstration Agent, for month of May, 1960.
William T Sistrunk, Brazos County Agricultural Agent, for month of May, 1960.
E Lloyd Joyce, Assistant Agricultural Agent, for month of May, 1960.
E 0. Pace, Negro County Agricultural Agent, for month of May, 1960
Mrs. Fannie J Taylor, Negro County Home Demonstration Agent, for month of May, 1960.
Brazos County Welfare Board, by B V. Elkins, Chairman, for the month of May, 1960.
B. V. Elkins, County Veterans' Service Officer, for month of May, 1960.
The Court received, considered and approved the following reports from County and

On motion of Commissioner W A. Stasny, and duty seconded, the Court authorized
the County Attorney to file sui~-Ion-all delinquent taxes
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court set July 18, 1960, as the
date for the hearing of the Board of Equalization.
Sheriff J W. Hamilton appeared before the Court and requested permisaddn to get
bids on a new car to replace the Mercury now being used in his office on motion duly

seconded and unanimously adopted, the,Court authorized Sheriff Hamilton to secure necessary

bids for a new automobile.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court authorized Sheriff
J. W. Hamilton to hire C E Gray as a Deputy Sheriff of Brazos County, Texas.

On motion,duly seconded and unanimously adopted,Athe Court agreed to employ am,
A & M Student to work 6n the courthouse lawn for four days a week during three summer

months at the.rate of $1.20 per hour.

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the County Judge was instructed
tp wr8te botLAbstract companies regarding placing machinery in the County Clark's
Building.
On motion made, seconded and unanimously (adopted, to Court voted to appoint
Prod A. Wehrman, as Justice of the Peace, as of July 1, 1960
Qn motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court agreed to pay the
County Commissioners and the County Judge, $100 00 per month, for use of their own
automobile on County business
on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills
which have been properly filed and approved.
Whereupon, the Court adjourned
The foregoing minutes, beginning on Page 295 and concluded on Page 296, were
ned and approved in open Court on this the 30th day of June, 1960.

SPECIAL MEETING - June 30, 1960
A special meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held
in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10v00
o'clock A M , on Thursday, June 30, 1962, with the following present-
W. C Davis, County Judge, Presiding,
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No 1,
George Dunn, Commissioner, Precinct No. 2, and
W. A Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4
The pgrpose of this special meeting was to receive and consider bide for a new
automobile on a trade-in for the old Mercury car now being operated by the Sheriff's
daeartment, all in accordance with action of the Court on June 13, 1962. Whereupon
Sheriff Hamilton appeared before the Court and submitted the following bids and proposals
