Taylor appeared before the Court and requested a leave of absence for three weeks to attend Prairie View College during the first three weeks in June. on nation duly made, seconded and unanimously passed, Mrs. Taylor was granted such leave of absence. Came on the matter of receiving and canvassing the returns from elections held throughout Brazos County on Saturday, April 2, 1960, for the election of local trustees for the common school districts. X. . . 1 Whereupon, based upon the foregoing tabulation of the returns received, the Court found and declared that Roy Barnes, Frank Nemic and Francis Bond had been elected as the three District School Trustees for Kurten Common School District No. 101 that James L. Boone, Jr. had been elected County School Trustee from Commissioners Precinct No. 11 and that Don Angonia had been elected County School Trustee from Commissioners Precinct No. 3; and it was so ordered. Thereupon, also come on the matter of canvassing returns of another special election held on April 2, 1960, in Kurten Common School District No. 10, to determine whether or not a majority of the property tax-haying citizens resident within said district were in favor of assumption of indebtedness and levying the tax iq payment thereof. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved.
