At the request of Commissioner Dunn and on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to purchase from Corbusier Chevrolet Company at Bryan. Tax". the following described new motor vehicles One new 1959 Chevrolet Long Wheel Base, One-half Ton Pickwp Truck, Serial No. 313595108945, with heater and otherwise fully equipped, complete and delivered at Bryan, Texas, for. .:19724.00. On further motion, it was ordered that purchase price of this vehicle be paid from !lords available to Precinct No. 2, to which the vehicle was allocated. In connection with the acquisition of right-of-way for extension of Farm-to- Market Highway 60 from College Station to an intersection with Farm-to-lArket Highway 158, in the Harvey community, a motion was made and duly seconded to authorize condemnation proceedings against Beatrice Spradling and husband H. A special meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Tomas was held in the Comnissionere courtroom beginning at 4:00 o'clock p. m., an Wednesday, December 31, 1958, with the following presents A. S. Wan, County Judge, presiding! Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No. 11 and Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No. 31 and Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4; and A. B. Syptak, Co mty Clerk. T County Judge laid before the Court copy of a letter of Deeester 26, to A. S. McSwain, local Agent of the Columbia Caasaky Company, E. H. Astin Building, Bryan, Texas, stating the total final liability of that surety on behalf of Mrs. Marjorie E. Burkhalter, former Tart Assessor-Collector, which is a total of $627.23, being 4152.83 awing to the State and $474.40 owing to Brazos County. These figures are further verified by the attached copy of letter of December 30, from Robert S. Calvert, State ComptrQ~ler of Public Accounts, wlwich is also attached.
