following proposal tar the furnishing of one now 15-iach standard Underwood typewriter with
elite type, and it having been found and declared that this was the beet and abet advantageous
proposition available, on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, it was voted to pareha"

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to accept Mr.
Burley's resignation to be effective from and after November 15, 1958. It was further voted
not to rill this vacancy during 1958.
Commissioner Dunn requested the Court to authorize the sale of used surplus
equipment heretofore allocated to Precinct No. 2, an follows
Ono used tar bucket heretofore used for

County Judge Ware presented to the Court a request from Constable Virgil Estill
that the County pay $135.00 as the cost of converting two-my oar radio from six to twelve
volt and reinstalling in the automobile used by him. On motion b7 Commissioner Burling seconded
by Commissioner Drum, and adopted without a dissenting vote, the Court voted to allow Mr. Seidl
twenty-five dollars an this expense.
Brazos County Tax Aaseeeor-Collector Raymond B. Buchanan appeared before the Curt and
requested the approval of one chief deputy and four deputies for his office, and on motion

Special Meeting - November 26. 1958.
A special meeting of,the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Tears, was hold
in tbs Caemissioners courtroom beginning at 9s30 o'clock a. m., on Wednesday, November 26,
1958, with the following presents
A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding=
Raymond A. Nolen, Commissioner of Precinct No. li and
n , George Dusm, Commissioner of Precinct No. 2.
The purpose of this apecial meeting was to receive and confer with a group of
distinguished foreign visitors, being six Governors of Provinces of the Republic of Turkey,
and their interpretor, whose names and addressee are as followss
Karim Arat, Governor of Balikesir,
Kadri Erogan, Governor of Urfa,
Yahrettin Gomulu, Governor of Kutahya,
Ibrahim Tevfik Kutlar, Governor of Marisa,
Cavit Tevfik Okyavuz, Governor of Icel,
Ibrahim Osturk, Governor of Maras,
Celal Ouvenc, Secretary to the Minister of Interior.
These visitors expressed keen interest in details of the conduct of local self-
government as exemplified by the County units and were highly appreciative of the information
supplied and the courtesies shown them.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.
