Taylor appeared before the Court ' and asked permission to take ten days of annual leave beginning August 18, 1958. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, this request was granted. a Tax Assessor-Collector Raymond B. Buchanan appeared before the Court and repeated permission to equalise at 53,000.00 each the salaries of his second and third deputies budgeted at $3,200.00 and $2,800.00 per annum and effective September 1, pay these two deputies each at the rate of $3,000.00 per annum. On motion duly seconded aid unanimously adopted, 1r this request was granted with the understanding that there would be no increase in the total K~ - coat of these two salaries. Upon motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved. On this balance cash of $3,000.00 will be payable on September 8, 1958, or following the September Court session, with the remaining balance to be paid after Court day in April of 1959, all as shown by the foregoing written proposal. The Court received, approved and ordered filed the report of the Brazos County Health Unit for the month of July, 1958. A special meeting of the Commissioners Court was held in the Commissioners Courtroom r in the courthouse at Bryan, beginning at 10:00 o'clock a. m., on Thursday, August 28, 19589 with the following present: A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding; Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1; George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Newton Burlin, Commi3sioner of Precinct 4; and A. B. Syptak, County Clerk. In accordance with previous action of the Court and public advertisement, the Court took up the matter of the budget for the year 1959, as submitted by the County Judge on July 30, 1958- 1 Whereupon on motion by Commissioner Dunn, seconded by Commissioner Nolan and unanimously adopted, the Court accepted and approved the budget as submitted and ordered it certified and tiled for official use for the calendar year of 1959• The transmittal and summary of this budget are as follows* , "Bryan, Texas, July 30, 1958.
