Burkhalter, Tax Oseessor-Collector, a written request for payment of $84.00 to Mrs. Ruth M. Turner, a clerical worker, for 84 hours service at $1.00 per hour rendered between May 5 and May 17, while serving as an extra worker In the office of Tax Assessor-Collector, and for which she had no remaining money. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court authorised payment of the said $84.00. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Cain voted to pay all bi11m which hams been properly filed and approved. Whereupon the Court adjourned. A special meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Trigs, was held in the office of the County Judge in the courthouse, beginning at 2s3D pe m., an June 10, 1958s with the following presents A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding, r _ George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct No. 2; Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No. 3; and Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4. At the request of Commissioner Burlin and on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to accept a right-of-way for future development as a Brazos County Public Road a right-of-way approximately 100 feet wide and 5,363 feet long, according to the following field notes: "ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM EAST 29TH STREET iD BOONVILLE RDAD FIELD NOTES of a strip, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the John Austin and Richard Carter Leagues, Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as followes BEGINNING at the common corner between the Briarcrest Country Club pro- perty and the Jackson Estate on the Northwesterly line of a tract of lard formerly owned by J. W. Lester, THENCE N 450 001 E for a distance 100.0 feet to a point for comer; THENCE S 450 001 E for a distance of 60.0 feet to a point for corner, THENCE N 420 481 E for a distance of 830.8 feet to a stake located 50 feet in a Southeasterly direction from the center of an old road, same being the common line between the John Austin and Richard Carter League, THENCE N 450 001 E parallel to said league line for a distance of 4532.2 feet to a point for comer in a fence line marking the boundary between a tract of land owned by J. W. Lester and the Danaby tract; THENCE N 450 ll' W along a fence line for a distance of 100.0 feet to a point for comer in the Northeasterly line of a tract of land owned by the Jackson Estate. THENCE S 450 001 W parallel and 50 feet from the before mentioned line between the John Austin and Richard Carter Leagues for a distance of 4532.0 feet to an angle point, THENCE S 430 091 W for a distance of 931.0 feet to a stake for corner in a common fence line between the Briarcrest Country Olub property and a tract of land owned by the Jackson Estate, THENCE S 450 421 E along the above mentioned lino between the Briarcrest , Country Club and the Jackson Estate, at a distance of 20.0 feet peso the cantor of an old road, continue for a total distance of 30.0 That to the place of beginning.
