Nolan, and upon motion du2,y seconded and unanlaoua2,y adopted, the Court voted to purchase from the Corbusier Chevrolet Company of Bryan, Taxes, one new 1958, two and one-half too Chevrolet truck chassis and cab, Motor No. SB58W101003, complete and delivered at Bryan, for $3,325.00s payment to be made from funds available to Precinct No. 1, to which the vehicle in allocated. Based upon certification from County Auditor F. J. Vitopil and audits by the State Comptroller of Public Accounts at Austin, on motion duly seconded and unanihnogely adopted, the Court voted to authorise the County Judge to execute releases of the surety bonds executed by Mrs. Marjorie E. Burkhalter and Monroe George Bond, each as Tax Assessor- Collector of Brazos County, Taxes, for the periods respectively from January 1 to July 29, 1957, for Mrs. Burkhalter, and from July 29 to October 31, 1957, for Mr. Bond,az follws: Columbia Casualty Company of New York, for Mrs. Marjorie F. Burkhalter: Bond for $15,000.00, dated November 21, 1956, and accepted and approved by the Court on January 1, 1957, covering County taxes, Bond for $7,000.00, dated December 3, 1956, and accepted and approved by the Court an January 1, 1957, covering State taxes. Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland, for Monroe George Bond: Bond for $22,000.00, dated July 29, 1957, and accepted and approved by the Court on July 300 1957, covering County taxes, Bond for $7,000.00, dated July 29, 1957, accepted and approved by the Court on July 30, 1957, covering State taxes. On action duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all b41L which have been properly filed and approved. A special meeting of the Commissioners Court of Broom County, Maas, me held in the Commissioners Courtroom in the courthouse at Br7an, beginning at 10:00 0cloch a. a., an Friday, December 13, 1957, with the following present: A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding; Raymond A. Nolan, Canmiseioner of Precinct Number li George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct Number 21 Olyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct Number 31 Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct Number 4; and A. B. Syptak, County Clerk. The mambera of the Court held a conference with Judge W. T. MODon&U of the District Court of Brazos County, Texas, and Dr. Carlton Lee, Chairman of the Breaoe County Youth Development Committee; and Mr. Victor M. Ehlers, Brazos County Probation Officer and Youth Counsellor. The purpose of this meeting was to consider applicants for the job of Brazos County Probation Officer for the vacancy to occur on January 3L, 1958, and to discuse the overall question of probation and youth counselling. W. Fox, Attorney-in-Fact, with oath of office executed August 24, 1957, all as authorized by Article 5704, of the Revised Civil Statutes of Teams. A regular meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners Courtroom in the courthouse, at Bryan, beginning at IOtOD o'clock a* m., on Monday, January 13, 19580 with the following presents A. B. 1 d b B h man appeare uc efore the Court and asked for three additional adding machines and three additional standard typewriters for use in the tax office, and also requested the Court to contract for the compilation up to date of the delinquent tax roll of Brazos County. After discussion and upon motion unanimously adopted, the Court voted to ask ti the County Auditor to secure competitive bids for the purchase and also for the rental of the adding machines and typewriters, less trade-in allowance for ace used typewriter.
