division office of the State Highway Department, four copies of the State Highway
Departnenfws contractual agreement for right-of-racy procurement based upon H. D.
620, as finally adopted by the recent session of the legislature. this contract
Is proposed at this time to cover additional right-of-way required by the State

for the wddanisg and improvement of Texas State Higbway kilo. 6 between College
Station and the Grimes County lino. One copy of this contract Is to be returned
to Braces County for official record after final approval by the State Hi&wmy
kmgineer at Austin.
The Court received, examined, approved and ordered filed and retarded the
bond for $2500 GG of James R. Grubbs as a public weigher in and for Justice Proolnet
10. 4, of Brasov County, Tleaos, dated May 23, 1957, and executed by ft. Pawl Mercury
Insurance Company by Gloria Y. Ivey, Attorney-in-Fact, with oath of office executed
June 250 1957; all u authorised by Article 5704, of the Revised Civil Statutes of

1lHIRUS, In the untimely passing an July 5, 1957, of the Honorable
Be F. Vance, Mayor of the City of Bryan, and civic leader, commndty
worker, and distinguished citlsen, this community, suffered an
irreparable loss= and
MHEMU, This beloved citizen has left an outstanding record of
achievement as well as a life of unparalleled unselfishness whoso
example will long be remembered by his colleagues and also by
generations to come,
HOki THEM= BS IT RESMVED, That the Commissioners Court of Brazos
County, Texas, in regular session in the courthcuee on Monday,
July 8, 1957, fitly deplores the passing of this well-Imam
and highly respected citizen whose life and memory will live long
in the hearts and minds of hie fellow citizens who have known and
appreciated his great contributions to the material development
of the community and its spiritual and cultural advancement, and
also his kindly greeting, warm friendship and sincerity of purpose
as exemplified by his daily Christian living, and be it further
RE.MVED, That a certified copy of this resoluti be transmitted
by the Clerk of the Court to the widow of our deceased fallow
citizen
