For alternate bids, the County Judge presented the following proposals based
an furnishing all materials and all labor and equipment as follows:

and equipment required and based on using

On recommendation of the County Judge and upon motion dully seconded and
manlaously adopted, the Court voted to award the contract for the necessary work
of relocating this hidi voltage transmission line an the basis of the alternate
bids enumerated above and at a total cost to the County of 43,343.61.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bd.lls
which have been properly filed and approved and for which budgeted funds are available.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.
Special Meeting - February a. 1957
A special meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held
In the office of the County Judge in the courthouse, at Bryan, beginning at 9:30 o'clock
a. a., an Thursday, February 21, 1957, with the fbllowing present:
A. S Ware, County Judge, presiding;
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct Number 1,
George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct Number 2,
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct Number 3; and
Newton Burling Commissioner of Precinct Number 4
At the request of Commissioner Burlin and upon motion duly seconded and unanimously
adopted, the Court voted to purchase from the Benson-Wheeler Tractor Company of 805 West
25th Strout, Bryan, Texan, one used Modal IB A111 -Chalmers Tractor, Serial No. AM2787-19g
equipped with nix-foot Detroit Harvester Hydraulic Control Mower at 4500.00, delivered at
,
Bryan. It was ordered by the Court that this machine be allocated to Precinct No. 4, and that
p the purchase price therefor be paid from the terracing funds from that precinct.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.
