The members of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, noting that Monday, November 12, 1956, would be the second Monday in the month and the regular meeting day, but that this date is being observed as Veterans Dar, a County holiday, agreed to recess until 10:00 o'clock a. m., on Tuesday, November 13, 1956 Regular Meeting - November 19. 1956. Pursuant to recess on honday, November 12, the regular meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners Courtroom in the courthouse at Bryan, beginning at 10:00 o'clock a. m , on Tuesday, November 13, 1956, with the following present: A. Bunting, County School Superintendent for the school fiscal year beginning September 1, 1955 and ending August 31, 1956. It appears that the expenditures of school fluids were proper and the administration of school affairs were handled in an economical r and business-like manner. > r The books and records in the office v are well and neatly kept and are in excellent shape. Moehlma: of Bryan, appeared before the Court and presented a claim for 500.00, as rental on the two Moehlman buildings at East 25th and Washington Streets, heretofore occupied as temporary offices by Brazos County, and demanded payment of $500900 as rental thereon for the period from September 1 to September 30, 1956, as shown by the following statement: "October 13, 1956 • ' Brazos County Commissioners Bryan, Texas Gentlemen: I an enclosing a bill for $500.00 representing rent for the period of time from September 1 to September 11 on the build- inpe which the oounty rented from me at East 25th and Washington Streets. ' Under the terms of my contract, the county agreed to restore the building on any alterations made, and I was not able to deliver possession because the county just recently completed their work and did not, therefore, deliver possession to me until October 1. County Clerk Syptak requested authority from the Court to send two of his ; ` deputies to Austin, Texas, to attend the Third Annual Conference on Vital Statistics + to be sponsored by the State Department of Health an December 6 and 7. 1956. He reported that many perplexing uroblems arise in his office in connection with the , i handling o: vital statistics, and that it would be highly desirable and profitable to 35 ' the County for the deputies assigned to this work to attend that conference and school of instruction. Therefore, on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted 4 ' to authorize the necessary expenses of attending this conference by two deputies as designated by the County Clerk. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved and for which budgeted funds are available.
