A special meeting of the Commissioners Court was held on Friday, November 2, 1956 S 4 ^ r beginning at 10:00 o'clock a. m., with County Judge Were and Commissioners Dunn and Harlin, composing a quorum of the Court. The purpose of this session was to meet a delegation of nine persona from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, wishing to inspect the Brazos County courthouse- d fail plant. This meeting was by prearrangement and the visitors were as follows: y Composing the Washington County (Oklahoma) Board of Commissioners were Paul Johnson, Chairman; Charles Leathcre and Ira Clingan. Composing the Citizens Advisory Committee were George R. Benz, Chairman; B. F. Buff, )i. E. Smith, S. R. Evans, L. L. Kasparek ` ,L and V. L. Jack Springer dud Jack Conlee acting an official hosts. ~rl y November 8. 1956. , .~Rr Special meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in IA the office of the County Judge, beginning at 8:30 o'clock a. m., on Thursday, November 8, ~ 1956, and the following members of the Court participated: u A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding; •9 Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1; `s~~ George Dunn. Commissioner of Precinct 2; • ' Clyde J. Porterfield, Comaissioner of Precinct 3; and Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct 4. The purpose of this special meeting was to receive, canvass and record results of d. - the General Election held throughout Brazos County, on Tuesday, November 6, 1956. Thereupon, r the members of the Court proceeded to canvass, verify, check and record the detailed restate fLti -of said election which are shown on Pages 49 to 58, in Volume "C" of the Election Records of Brazos County, on file in the office of the County Clerk.
