On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to,pay all bills ,
which have been properly filed and approved and for %bich budgeted funds are available.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.

A special meeting of the C-4 sionars' Court was held in the office of the County
Judge in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginnirg,at 10:00 o'clock a. m., on Saturday,
August 18, 19569 with the following presents

Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct Number 3; and
Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct Number 4.
At the request of C-mi sinner Burlin and upon motion ddy seoonded and unanimously
adopted, the Court voted to accept the written proposal of August 17, submitted by Benson
Tractor Company, of Houston, Texas, for the purchase by the County and allocation to Commissioner's
Precinct 4. the following:
One new A]1ie-Chalmers HD-6G Shovel Loader
Tractor complete with standard equipment,
including hour meter end TR-6 Hipper installed. ..$14,394.00
Less trade-in allowance for one used Allis-
,
Chalmers Tractor Serial No 21 2 000.00
Net balance to be paid . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .394.00.
Delivery of equipment to be made immediately and payments on purchase price to be at
the rate of Three Hundred & No/100 ($300.00) Dollars per month for the balance of 1956,,plue
six per cent interest; and new arrangements to be made for 1957.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.

A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court was held in the office of the County
Judge in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 9s00 o'clock a. m., an Wednesday, August
22, 1956, with the following presents
A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding;
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct Number 1;

Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct Number 4.

The purpose of this meeting was to receive and pass on the recommendation of the

architects for final payment to the contractors for the construction of the new courthouse-fail

plant.
The Court received, examined and approved for payment Estimate No. 21 (final), dated

August 21, 1956, for the payment to A. P. Kasch & Sons, contractors, of $6,796.74, and bearing

approval of the architects, Caudill, Rowlett, Scott and Associates, of Bryan, according to

original attached hereto. This is for payment of the final installment to contractors on the

courthouse-fail plant of the total contract price of $955,658.91, and is in accordance with

,acceptance of the completed fob., This action does not, in anywise relieve or release the

contractora from liability from any needed adjustments or corrections which may be required

under the terms of the guarantee given the' County by the contractors.
