S. Ware, County Judge, presiding; George Dunn, Cosmhiesioner, of Precinct Number 21 Clyde J. Porterfield, Cocedssioner of Precinct Number 31 and , Newton Harlin, Commissioner of Precinct Number 4. At the request of Commissioner Berlin and u +tr- Pon motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to accept the written proposal of August 17, submitted by Benson Tractor Company, of Houston, Texas, for the purchase by the County and allocation to Commissioner-a Precinct 4,' the followings {w One new A]]de-Chalmers HD-6G Shovel Loader 1 Tractor complete with standard equipment, including hour meter and TR-6 Ripper installed. ..$]4 394.00 Less trade-in allowance for one used Allis- Chalmers Tractor rial No 21092 000.00 Net balance to be paiTS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .394.00. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding; Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct Number 11 George Duns, Commissioner of Precinct Number 21 Clyde Je Porterfield Commissioner of Precinct Number 3; and Newton Berlin, Commissioner of Precinct Number 4. The purpose of this meeting was to receive and pass on the recommendation of the 3 architects for final payment to the contractors for the construction of the new courthouse-fail plant. The Court received, examined and approved for payment Estimate No. 21 (final), dated a•°S August 21, 1956, for the payment to A. P. Basch & Sons, contractors, of $6,796.74, and bearing },approval of the architects, Caudill, Rowlett, Scott and Associates, of Bryan, according to • ?~j' original attached hereto. This is for payment of the final installment to contractors an the courthouse-fail plant of the total contract price of $955,658.81, and is in accordance with acceptance of the completed fob. -This action does not,in anywise relieve or release the r ;•^~`i~h contractors from liability from any needed adjuetmente or corrections which may be required +{f `Po under the terms of the guarantee given the',County by the contractors. };TR ` The vote on the foregoing action was four'to'one, affirmative votes being cast by.
