Special Meeting - July 30. 1956.

A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court was held in the office of the Court Judge
'
in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Mao:

Raymond A. Nolen, Commissioner of Precinct Number 1;
George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct Number 2;

The purpose of this special meeting was to receive and act upon the proposed budget for
`

the forthcoming fiscal year.
`
The County Judge submitted the proposed budget for the Courdy for the fiscal (calendar)
I
year of 1957 carrying total proposed expenditures and reserves of $514,500.00 with a recommended
tax rate of 95¢ per $100.00 valuation. Whereupon Commissioner Berlin moved that the budget be
accepted and public hearing set thereon, and Commissioner Nolan seconded this motion, which was

unanimwely adopted.
Motion was made, duly seconded, and unanimously adopted, by which it was ordered that
the proposed budget for 1957 be filed with the County Clark and set dash for public hearing in the
office of County Judge at Bryan, at 10:00 a. m., on Thursday, August 30, 1956, and that public
advertisement of this hearing be made by publishing the following notice in the B
