It having been found and declared by the Court that the bid submitted by Corbusier
Chevrolet Company was lowest, best and most advantegous to the County, as notion duly seconded
and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to purchase the one-half ton pickup truck from
Corbusier Chevrolet,Compagy of Bryan, Texas, at the net price of $1,425.00, to be paid from
funds available to Precinct Number 1, to which Precinct the said vehicle was allocated.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.

Special Meeting - June 4. 1956.
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court was held in the office of the County
Judge in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 9:30 a. m. on Monday, June 4, 1956, with
the following presents
A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding;
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct Number 1;
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct Number 3;
and Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct Number 4. ,
The Court ratified and confirmed the was negotiated by County Judge Wars of the ,
One Hundred and Fifty Thousand ($150,000.00) Dollars of Brazos County Courthouse and Jail Warrants,
heretofore authorized and issued as of March 15, 1956. This sale was to the First National Bank '
of Bryan, of Bryan, Texas, for full par value of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand ($150,000.00)
Dollars in cash, deposited to the credit of the County in the official account of Permanent
Improvement Fund, with the accrued interest from March 15 to eels on June 4, 1956, being waived
by the County and allowed to the bank as part of the consideration for purchase of the warrants
,
bearing ouch a low rate of interest. This action was taken by the Court, after a motion, duly
seconded, and unanimously adopted.
The Court received, examined, and authorized the payment of Estimate Number Nineteen
Special, dated June 1, 1956, for Forty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and no/100 ($46,500.00),

original copy attached hereto:
On recomendation of Commissioner Porterfield and,upon motion duly seconded and
amnimcusly adopted, the Court voted to purchase from Browning-Ferris Machinery Cowry, of Houston,
Texas, the following described equipment at the price stated, for allocation to Commissioner'e
Precinct No. 3, and payment from funds available to its
One (1) used Gunnison 600 gallon asphalt heating
kettle, SIN 373, pheumatic tired trailer mounted.
