and costs of collection, shall be and is hereby levied for each year, respectively

said bonds, or any of them, are outstanding and unpaid, and said tax shall each year be
assessed and collected and applied to the payment of the principal of and interest on said

,warrants. The Commissioners' Court hereby declares its purpose and intent to provide and
levy a tax legally and fully sufficient for such warrants, it having been determined that
the existing and available taxing authority of the county for such purpose is adequate
to permit a legally sufficient tax in consideration of all other outstanding obligations

and seconded by Commissioner Nolan that the same be passed and adopted.'

Thereupon, the question being called for, the County Judge put the motion to a

vote of the, members of the Commissioners' Court, and the motion carried by the following
vote:,°C6mmissioners Nolan, Dunn, Porterfield and Burlin; and none voted "NO".

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted that if

Air H. E. 'Blackmon, of Bryan; to- whom a low bid *contract for fence posts was awarded on

March 5, 1956, should decline to furnish the posts or default, then the next lowest bid
would be accepted and the contract awarded to Mr. James B. Beard of Bryan.

On motion, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, it was voted to pay all bills
'which have been properly filed and approved and for which budgeted funds are available.

consider bide for furniture and furnishings for the new Courthouse, and to hear objectiona thereto.

Hr. W. F. Doney and a number of other local dealers appeared and stated further their opposition to the
Court accepting the only. available bid on furniture submitted by Knoll' & Associates and heretofore list-
ed. After prolonged discussions, and upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court
voted to take the matter under advisement and to give further study to it.
At the request of County Clerk A. B. Syptak and upon the following written proposal submitted
by J. W. Lolly of 5216 Yaple Springs Boulevard, Dallas, Texas, the Court voted unanimously to authorize
the repairs, resewing, rebinding, and recovering of permanent records in the office of the County Clerk to
the amount of 2524.00, to be paid from the Permanent Improvmtent Fund, as detailed belowt

With reference to the item ill the'ourrent budget of the County for a maintrenanoe,an neer,for the
new Courthouse-Mail plant, on motion, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, it was voted to ask the' Sherif
to nominate a suitable ran for the place, at the budgeted rate, subject to confirmation and kpproval by the
Court.
Following action of the Court on !larch 12, the following formal,contract with Haswell!e of Bryan,
Texas, for supplying and installing items covered by their accepted bid,_was presented by therArtlitects-
Engineera, accepted by the Court, and ordered recorded, as attachedt
