A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court was held in the office of the County Judge in

the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a, m. on Tuesday, February 28, 1956, with the

The primary purpose of this iuecial meeting was to considerasd pass upon request from the '
United States Air Force for the adoption of an air zoning regulation in accordance with Article 460
of the Revised Civil Statut® of Texas, as amended. After discussion and due consideration of the
-matter, the following resolution was unanimously adoptedt

VAMEAS, it appears that Bryan Air Force Base, situated in Brazos County,

Texas, creates an airport hazard endangering the lives and property of users
of the airport and of occupants of land in its vicinity, within the meaning of

Article 46s of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, known as the'"Airport Zoning

Act"; and

VOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners Court of Brazos
County, Texas, in special session at Bryan, Texas, this 28th day of February,
1956, that a point airport zoning board be and it is hereby created, so far as
Brazos County, Texas, is empowered to do so, which board shall hsve the power'
to adopt, administer, and enforce airport zoning regulations applicable to the
airport hazard area in question as provided in Article 46e of the Revised Civil
Statutes of Texas, hereinbefore mentioned, and that Brazos County-hereby loin
with any and all necessary political sub-divisions in the area involved to
accomplish the purposes specified in said Act, and it is so ordered.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Travis B. Bryan, Sr., and Dr. L. 0.
Wilkerson, resident citizens of Brazos County, Texas, be and they are hereby
appointed as members of said board.
ADOPTED and effective this 28th day of February, A. D. 1956."
The Court received, approved, and ratified the payment of the following statement of account'
submitted by Caudill, Rowlett, Scott, and Associates, Architects and Engineers on the Brazos
County Courthouse-Jail project, for supervisory services to February 14, 1956:

project, as the total fee for preparing Mpeclficatlons for furniture and furnishings in the new
Brazos County Courthouse as authorized by the Court on December 12, 1955:
