Kimbrough has been nominated to, r O ' receive the County Agents Distinguished Service Award at the National County Agents ; Association's Annual Convention in Lansing, Michigan, September it to 15 inclusive. ;a1,K Wallace richly deserves this outstanding recognition for the fine work he is doing ~.i in Brazos County. This award is not only an honor to Wallace, it is also an honor h ; z to the County Commissioners Court and to the people of Brazos County. I think it would be a fine gesture on the part of the County Commissioners Court all,, J l ! if they would authorize Mr. Kimbrough to attend this meeting and pay his expenses which will probably figure about $100.00 so that he can receive the award in person. Whereupon a motion was made, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, by which it was voted t to approve the request of Mr. Whiteett and to authorize the payment of ex;Penees of County Agent Kimbrough from the General Fund in an amount not to exceed $100.00 for the trip to East Lensing,, L E • 1 Michigan, for September 11-15, 1955, to receive the award as a distinguished County Agent. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, Sheriff J. W. Hamilton was authorized to purchase a new siren and a now G. E. radio for the Sheriff's official car.
