County Judges 9 _ o Discussion was had as to the action of the Court on December 13, 1954, in exercising its option w E:.s to have marble used on the exterior walls of the judicial unit of the new Courthouse-fail plant now under F''•, construction at an additional cost of $16,400.00 over and above the original contract price. In S.r4.r accordance with that action, the Court accepted and approved the attached Change Order No. 2 submitte d A b P K h & S t ) N . y . asc ons, con ractors, and approved by the architects and engineers, Caudill, Rowlett, Scott and Associates, which provides for an additional $16,400.00 to be added to the original contract price. r County Probation Officer Victor M. Ehlers appeared be Dore the Court and explained in detail the t<7'nnv progress he had made in his official work in Brazos County since he began on February 1. He also explained his work'in youth counseling and advisory services calculated to prevent juvenile delinquency. Members of r.:?> the Court were highly pleased with the progress reported by Mr. Ehlers and assured him of their cooperation ` and support. Commissioner Nolan laid before the Court a proposal submitted by the Cade Motor Company of Bryan `-r+~•t Texas, for the sale to the County of a new 1955 Ford one-half ton pick-up track aamplete at $1,770.00, pp` 'p' Lz \ Y~ ti less trade-in allowance of $470.00 for old used 1949 Studebaker Pick-Up truck, Motor No. 1R-2=06, Texas f: Certificate of Title No. 5245832, making net cash difference to be paid by the County of $1,300.00. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to accept the foregoing proposal and to ' purchase the one-'half ton Ford Pick-Up truck for the net cash difference of $1,300.00 to be paid from funds • available to Precinct No. 1 of which Mr..Raymond A. Nolan is commissioner and directed that the new motor r ' vehicle be allocated to that precinct.
