S 7 ~ Special Meeting, March 10, 1955 • A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the office of the Count Jude in the Courthouse be Y 6 ginning at 8s15 a.m. on Thursday, Marsh 10, 1955, with the ~ following presents ~9 - A. S. Mars, County Judge, preeidingy ~ - - - Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No. ly and -I Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No. 3. The purpose of this meeting was to act upon the bids received by the Court on February 14 fbr ' i a motorgrader and which proposals were at that time taken under advisement subject to action on later t L ~ , ,i date. After discussion and on the recommendation of Commissioner Porterfield, a motion was made duly ! seconded and unanimously adopted by which the Court voted to accept the proposal of the Benson Tractor ;i Company of Houston, Texas, to furnish one new Allis-Chalmers Model AD W Tandem Drive Diesel motorgrader ` ' complete according to specifications contained in the foceal proposal and including trade-in allowance • for the used motorgrader, Adams Model 512, Serial #3540, for a net cash price of $12,439.70. In was further voted by the Court to pay this purchase price from funds available to Precinct No. 3,and to allocate the new motorgrader to.that precinct of which Hr. Clyde J.
