Regular Meeting, October 11, 1954.
A regular meeting of the Brazos County Commissioners' Court was held in the office of the County
Judge on October 11, 1954, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with the following members presents

Messrs. 0. S. Cole and Joe Pletzer, as representatives of Earl Graham Poet No. 159 of the American
Legion at Bryan, appeared before the Court and requested permission to close the public road running

through the local American Legion grounds each day from noon until midnight for the duration of the

Brazos County American Legion Free Fair beginning October 13 and ending October 16; 1954. This action
was taken at the request of the Legion representatives and upon the judgment of the members of the

Commissioners' Court that it would operate to eliminate hazards of throutti traffio and would otherwise

After consideration and discussion a motion was nude, duly seconded and unanimously adopted by

The Court ratified and approved the action of the County Judge in
Y B Procuring a hearing before the

State Highway Commission at Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, October 26, 1954, for the further presentation of
the request of Crimea and Brazos Counties for the construction of the ten-mile gap in FM Highway No. 158
from Carlos in Orimms County to the Williams Ranch Headquarters in Brazos County.

recommend to the State Highway Commission, through District Engineer John E. Blair of Bryan, the fol-
lowing projects for State Farm-to-Market highways in Brazos County for the forthcoming years

The Cameron Ranch County Road from FM Highway No.'in a northwesterly direction
to its intersection with the Old San Antonio Road, a distance of approximately six
and one-half miles; and
SECOND,

The Kurten-Long Trestle Road from State Highway No. 21 at Kurten in a southeasterly

direction to the intersection of the Bowman County Road, a distance of approximately .
five and one-half miles.

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted the Court voted to pay all bills which have

been properly filed and approved and for which budgeted finds are available.
