A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the office of the County Judge in the courthouse beginning at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 1954, with the following - ~ ' members presents A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding; K • Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No. 3; and Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4. On motion of Commissioner Porterfield, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to sell to Charles M. Y . i On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted the Court voted to purchase from M. T. Reese of Calvert, Texas, for assignment to Commissioners' Precincts Nos. 3 and 4, one used 1800-gallon capacity water tank mounted on a single axle, dual-wheel trailer, complete, for $325.00 to be paid $175.00 from funds allocated to Precinct No. 3 and $150.00 from funds allotted to Precinct No. 4. It being understood that this item will be allocated jointly to the said two precincts. The Court received and ordered recorded the approval by John H. Winters, Executive Director of the-State Department of Public Weltare,of Brazos County contract for participation in the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance coverage as authorized by the Federal Social Security Board and according to agreement made and contract signed on behalf of Brazos County on April 14, 1954, as shown by the following signed copy of the said agreements "AGREEMENT 1. This agreement is entered into by the State Department of Public Welfare and by The Brazos County, Texas, hereafter referred to as the Political Subdivision, in order to make Old-Age and Survivors Insurance coverage effective for employees of the Political Subdivision. fl 2.'Both parties agree to-undertake the respective liabilities and responsibilities authorised and provided by H. B. 603, Acts 52nd Legislature, Regular Session, and by the Federal 11 Social Security Act (as they now are and may from time to time be amended), and that they ' are a part of this agreement. 3. The Political Subdivision agrees that the provisions of Bulletin 2, Application and Agree- ment, (as it now is and may from time to time be amended) promulgated by the State Depart- ment of Public Welfare, are a part of this agreement. 4. The Political Subdivision agrees to cover all employees of the Political Subdivision, - except'those performing services specifically excluded by law and those performing services listed below. No exceptions. 5. The Political Subdivision will deposit in the "Social Security Fund" on or before (date) January 15 each year the amount of priority dedicated revenues sufficient to meet its estimated obligations under the terms of this agreement. 6. The effective date of this agreement is (date) May 1, 1954. 7. This agreement is agreed to, by the Political Subdivision (date) April 14, 1954 BRAZOS OOUNT7, TEXASs Bys A. S.
