Tax Assessor-Collector Burkhalter stated in open Court that his preference from the foregoing

bide was that of the manual-operated typewriter. Whereupon motion was made, duly seconded and unanimously
w
adopted by which the Court voted to accept the lowest and best bid for the manually-operated typewriter
as submitted by Oqy H. Deaton; Typewriter Exchange, at $222.35, and authorised the
purchase of said itm
at the stated bid price.
Upon request of Mr. Burkhalter and after motion made, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the
County Auditor was authorised to secure bids for consideration of the Court at its next regular meeting

for supplying the office of the Tax Assessor-Collector a new adding machine in accordance with epecifi-
cations and description to be supplied by Mr. Burkhalter.

Commissioner Burlin explained to the Court that in the area of the Williams Subdivision east of

State Highway No. 6 north of Bryan that he seriously needed to impcova the drain
age along a county road

in the vicinity of the residence of Mrs. Faye Ridlehuber. After hearing his explanation and upon his

request and on motion duly seconded and unanimouslyaiopted, the Court voted to authorise the county to
purchase from the Ridlehubere an easement 25 feet wide and 300 feet long at a consideration of $125.00
cash to be paid from the Terracing Account of Precinct No. 4. „
The,Court voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved and for which

budgeted funds are available.

Judge is the courthouse beginning at 8,30 a.m., Friday, March 120 1954, with the following mamsbere
