A special mating of the Conzissionerel Court of Brazos County was hold in the,office of
the County Judge in the courthouse beginning at 9:00 a.m., Friday, January 29, 1954, with the fol-
lowing members presents
A. S. Were, County Judge, preeidingi
Raymond A. Nolan, Czaissioner of Precinct No. 11
Reuben F. Conrad, Commissioner of Precinct.No. 21 and
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No. 3.
The purpose of this special meeting was to receive and pass upon the payrolls for the
period beginning January 16 and andiag January 31, 1954, certified by J. C. Marks, County Shop
Foreman, as follows:
For labor for fencing right-of-way on Edge Cutoff road. $Wi6.50
For labor fait constructing additional storage space at
county shop . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 339.00.
Upon motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the foregoing payrolls were duly approved
by the Court and ordered paid.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.

A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County was held on Monday, February 1,
1954, in the office of the County Judge in the courthouse beginning at 10:00 a.m., ,dth the following
members presents
A. S. Were, County Judge, presidingi
Reuben F. Conrad, Commissioner of Precinct No. 21
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No. 3; and
Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4.
County Auditor F. J. Vitopil presented to the Court a number of sealed bids for materials and
supplies submitted in accordance with specifications theretofore issued by him after conference with
members of the Court. These bide were opened, considered and tabulated and thereafter it was detersined
that the following named firms and individuals had submitted the lowest, best and most advantageous
bids for the items specified:

In accordance with the foregoing bids, it was understood and agreed by all parties that requisitions
for given materials and supplies would be,placed with the lowest bidders as hereinabove listed for the ,

The Court voted to reimburse Commissioner Burlin for $6.00 expended'for travel an trip to Houton
an January 31, 1954, to be paid from Terracing Fund of Precinct No. 4.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.

A regular meeting of the Brazos County Commissioners' Court was held in the office of the County
Judge in the courthouse on Monday, February S. 1954, beginning at 10,00 a.m., with the following members
