Pursuant to our telephone conversation of this date I m here:dth
making a formal request on behalf of the Brazos County Caoeittes for the
March of Dimes campaign for permission to use the premises in the Astin
Building formerly occupied by the City National Bank for a headquarters
during the campaign currently in progress. The campaign will end on
January 318t, and we would be prepared to vacate the prenleas an that date. -
If allowed, we should like to occupy the building from January 11th
until that date.

After consideration of the foregoing request, on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted,
the Court voted to make available to the Brasos County March of Dimes Committee its leased premises in
the first floor of the Astin Building at 26th and Main Streets in Bryan for the balance of the sontb of.
January with the provision, however, that there will be no expenses incurred on behalf of the county
Case, on the matter of putting into effect the 1954 county budget as finally adopted by the Coact
on August 28, 1953, according to the following summary:

Sealed proposals addressed to the Brazos County Commissioners' Court, Bryan, Texas,
covering the removal of the existing Brazos County Court House will be received at
the office-of_the County Judge, Brazos County Court House, Bryan, Texas, until 10'00
a.m., Monday, February 8, 1954, and then be opened and read publicly the same date
and time. Any bid received after closing time will be returned unopened.
Bid forme and specifications of work to be perfbsmed may be obtained from Caudill,
Rowlett, Scott and Associates, Architects, of 425 South Main Street, Bryan, Texas.
The Brazos County Commissioners' Court, Bryan, Texas, reserves the right to reject
any or all bids and to waive formalities.
