'In connection with the proposed new courthouse project the following resolution was unanimously - ' ddoptsd by the Court: • "RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, has been making an ii!- tensive stuk- of the proposal for the construction of a new oourthouse,and fail since its formal approval of this project in principle on October 13, 1952, at which time all q, citizens of the county were invited to make suggestions and reoommendationej ' H AND WHEREA.9, on November 13, 1952, the Court appointed eleven members of a CitizsnaO ' ' Advisory Committee who were requested to make a study of the proposal and thereafter sub- ' mit recommendations and suggestions, which were in due time presented to the Court in s ' written form and in great detail] J 238 October 16, 1953 AND WHEREAS, the Commissioners# Court has given detailed study to all of the advice, recommendations and suggestions submitted to and received, including the possibility of a new site for the county courthousel , AND %4tERZAS, it is the considered opinion of the membership of the Com•- miasionerel Court of Brazos County after studying all factors and possibilities in- volved that the present site is the most logical and practicable one available and that a ro-location thereof would be inconvenient and illogical] NO'd THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE OOMMISSIONEAS' COURT OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, in special session on this the 16th day of October, 1953, that the present site be retained as the permanent location of the Brazos County Courthouse and that a new and adequate courthouse be erected on said site at the earliest practicable times and that the County Judge be authorized to contact architectural specialists, design engineers and bond brokers whose services will be necessary in order to carry the project to ultimate conclusion, with the idea of securing proposals for consideration of the whole Court before formal contracts are made." 'It having been found that the foregoing proposal,was the best, and most advantageous available to Brazos County, an motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted the Court voted to purchase the new Ford frock as therein described for a net cost to the County of $2,150.00 to be paid from funds allotted to Precinct No- 3 and it was further ordered that the said truck be allocated to Precinct No. 3 of %ti0 h Clyde J.
