After considering the foregoing bid and proposal and finding that it would be to the best '
interest of the county to accept it, upon motion dully seconded and unanimously adopted the Court voted
to accept such a bid and proposal and to purchase from the Bryan Tmotor & Implement Co., of Bryan,
s
Texas, the one new INAA Ford tractor complete with standard equipment and one five-foot aids-mounted
industrial mower at a net price of 11,769.34 delivered, to be paid from the Terracing Fund of Precinct
No. 1 and with the understanding that the tractor and mower would be allocated-to Precinct No. 1 of
which Raymond A. Nolan is Commissioner.

Special Meeting, September 29, 1953.
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Breaos County, Texas, was hold in the
office of the County Judge in the Courthouse beginning at 7130 p.m., on Tuesday, September 29, 1953,
for the purpose of conferring with the members of the Citizens' Advisory Committee on the proposed
new Courthouse-Jail building for Brazos County, This conference was originally scheduladfor September '
22, but had been postponed because of absence from the State of the Chairman of the Committee..
x All five members of the Commissioners' Court were present and a majority of the Citizens! IiM!
`r Committee members were an hand including Chairman Langford'. Informal discussions were had of the
various phases of the Committee's report as received
by the Court an July 13, 1953. No formal action ,

was taken, but it was the_unanimous agreement of all persons present that the Citizens' Advisory
r Committee should stand by ready to be of any further service which might be rendered and subject to
further call of the Court.
