Be Ware, County Judge, presiding; Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No. li Reuben F. Conrad, Commissioner of Precinct No. 2; Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No. 31 Norton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4, and Ae Be Syptak, County Clark. Sheriff J. We Hamilton appeared before the Court and after stating that the Ford automobile non in use by his department had been driven more than 70,000 miles, and was beginning to show dgns of serious war and tees, and that it would be economy to the County and muck more satisfactory to,him for- the said vehicle to be traded in on a now car suitable for his use, presented the following bids and proposals which bad been submitted to him by the local dealers named: (1) "Bernath Motor Company, Bryan, Torus, Dec. 10, 1952 "Mr. Billy Hanover Brasce County Sheriff Dept. At the conclusion of the conferences, a motion was made, I~ ;.p duly seconded, end unanimously adopted by which the Court voted t o create a nsw place at the county Shops -I N "V, under the title of County Shop Foreman, and directed that this man be in complete and full h (ti c arge of the shops, equipment, ordering of parts and supplies, all equipment, and all personnel employed at the Sho ps, including mechanics and caretaker. It was further voted to fix the cam en aU f p e o the County Shop p oreman at the rate of $3,000.00 per annum, to be paid at rate of $250.00 per month, on a month-to-month basis It . was further voted that this position be effective from and after January 1, 19539 and that J. C. Marks • ~ , former ly employed by Precinct No. 2, be appointed to the now place, with toll authority thereof and that he be assigned to these new duties as of January 1, 1953• Whereupon the Court adjourned .
