Horvath, and Fire Chief Charles I. 7 7 „•r•~9 , Criesser, appeared before the Court and discussed the matter of the problem of rural fires with • vier } v to securing the financial cooperation and assistance of the County in meting this continued problaa. `I ^ eye ^5, ' After extended and detailed discussion of the, matter and acting upon a suggestion made by Mr. Thomason, i p :11 an motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to reimburse the City of Bryan in con- , ~ • . nection with fire calls made outside the corporate limits of the City, at the discretion of the Fire s,•,;•~ Chief or other officer in charge, upon the basis of eight cents (80) cents per mile when the Chief's oar a,•y is used; and of Five and NoAOO ($5.00) Dollars per mile when a fire truck is sent on a calli,and plus one • and 5OA00 ($1.50) Dollars per bran-hour for firemen actually engaged. r, ! ' Sheriff J. W. Hamilton appeared before the Court and reported the jail garage in poor condition t • and in serious need of repair or rebuilding. Whereupon motion was duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, by which the Court voted to authorise the Sheriff to secure bids for the rebuilding, recap- struction or repair of the jail garage, and submit them to the Court. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to authorise County Clark A. B. :l Syptak to purchase a new electrically operated typewriter of his selection, for official use in his office. { On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to allow the various county officers reimbursement of actual expenses incurred in ardor to attend the annual convention of their ;ti{11 respective statewide organisations. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted the Court voted to , pay all 6111s which have been ,.s properly filed and approved and for which budgeted funds are available.
