'Taxpayers and others interested are invited and urged to acquaint themselves with the said
budget during the time it remains on file with the Clerk before the tearing.
'At the conclusion of the hearing, final action will be taken by the Commissioners Court of
Brazos County, Texas, for the adoption of the budget for 1953 as finally agreed upon.

Colonel Ray Halsell, III, appeared before the Court and presented in detail the needs of the
Bryan Armory of the Texas National Guard local unit and requested financial assistance from the Court in
the amount of $25.00 per month.
Upon being fully acquainted with the needs of the said Armory, motion was made, duly
seconded and adopted by the affirmative votes of County Judge Ware, Commissioner Conrad, and Commissioner
Berlin, with Commissioner Nolan voting present, by which payment of $25.00 per month from the General
Fund'itas authorized to be made to the Bryan Armory of the Texas National Guard'local unit for the five
months beginning August 1, 1952, and ending with December 31, 1952.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to authorize the transfer of
$6,000.00 from the Salary Fund to the General Fund.

I therefoee submit herewith my resignation as Constable of Justice Precinct No. 1, Brazos
County, Texas, to be effective from and after June 1, 19520 pine which date I have not performed any

official duty or received any compensation.

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to accept the resignation of-Mr.

Day as Constable of Precinct No. 1, as submitted, to be effective from and after June It 1952.
The Court considered the matter of two cross-aware on State Highway No. 308 adjoining Oak
Terrace Subdivision to the City of Bryan, as requested by Mr. J. C. Culpepper in his personal contact with

members of the Courts After some discussion of the matter, motion was made, duly seconded and unanimously

adopted
, by which the Court took the request under advisement with the view to giving the mattes further
study before possible future action.

On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills Which had been
properly filed and approved and for which budgeted funds are available.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.
