SPECIAL MEETING, THURSDAY, JULY 21, 1952
The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, met in special meeting In the office of the
County Judge at the Courthouse in Bryan, at ton o'clock a. m. on Thursday, Jul,Y,31, 1952, with the fal-
lowing mere presents
A. S. Ware, County judge, presiding;
Baymoid A. Nolan, Commissioner, Precinct No. 1;
Reuben Fe Conrad, Conmiasioner, Precinct No. 21
Newton Burlin, Commissioner, Precinct No. 4; and
A. B. Syptak, County Clark.
County Judge A. S. Ware submitted a proposed budget for the County far the fiscal
(calendar) year of 1953, carrying total proposed expenditures and reserves of $496,300.00, with a recom-
mended tax rate of 80# per $100.00 valuation. This budget and its various schedules were disouesed,in ,f.

detail alter which Commissioner Burlin moved that the budget be accepted as proposed, and Commissioner
Nolan seconded this motion. This motion was unanimously adopted.
Motion was made, duly seconded, and unanimously adopted, by which it was ordered that the pro-
posed budget for 1953 be filed with the County Clerk and then set down for public hearing at 10!00 a. m. ;
on Friday, August 29, 1952, and that public advertisement of this hearing be made by publishing the fol-
lowing notice three time in the Bryan Daily Eagle and also three time in the Bryan Daily Naves

'Public Notice is hereby given that pursuant'to action of the Ccemissionsrs Court of Brazos
County, Texas, taken on July 31, 1952, open public hearing will be held in the office of the County
Judge of Brazos County, Texas, in the Court House of 'said County in Bryan, Texas, at 10:00 a, m.
on Friday, August 29, 1952, for consideration of the 1953 budget for Brazos County, submitted'to the
Court on July 31. 1952, and now remaining on file in the office of the County Clerk of said County,
all in accordance with law.
