' The purpose of this meeting was to receive and consider bids for old used motor vehicles which w ' ~ ' ti's • = , are no longer capable of rendering service to the County. The following bids were received for the specified vehicles: ! N. R. The Court received and considered the following proposal from the W. E. V. Naaiitoa appeared before the Court and called attention to the delapidated condition of the exterior of the sheet metal on the Courtbouss tower, and also the need of repairs to and furniture and facilities for the Petit Jury Room, and that he rdahe d to have the Court take sore action with reference thereto. After a detailed discussion of this matter and related questiam, and also, of the report of October 30, 1951, from M. E. Simpson Engineering Company of San Antonio, Tetras, it was voted to ask the local contractors to sutmit their written bids or proposals to the Court by ten o'clock a. m. an Monday, March 17, 1952, for the repairs outlined in Items 1, 2, 3, and 4, of Kr. Simpsoate report, and for the additional sheet metal work required to repair the Courthouse tower, with the understanding that these proposals or bide would be on the basis of cost plus a stated percentage. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Sheriff was authorised to purchase a new American flag for display an the flag pole on the Courthouse yard. By another motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the, Sheriff was also authorized to secure bids for the repainting of the interior of the living quarters In the County Jail and for the repair and replacement of window screens on the building, with the understanding that these bids would be received and considered by the Court at its special tweeting to be held beginning at ten o'clock a* me an Kondgy, March 17, 1952.
