Hon. A. S. :Dare, County Judge, and the Commissioners Court, Brazos County, Texas. Gentlemenn Herewith I present my audit report of Ns. W. V. Bunting, Brazos County School super- Intendants covering the school fiscal year ending August 31, 1951. An examination, of this report will reveal any financial information desired pertaining to the Brazos County Common School System. In my opinion, the affairs of the Brazos County Coon School System are being administered in an honest, economical and businesslike manner. The books and i•eoorde in the office are in an excellent shape and are neatly kept. Respectfully sdbmitted, F. J. VITOPIL County Auditor, Brazos County, Texas " The Court received and noted the official audit report of County Auditor F. J. Vitopil, submitted under date of February 7, 1952, and covering the official audit of the various Brazos County officials for the calendar year ended December 31, 1951, and accompanied by the following letter of tranamittalt "February 7, 1952. Hon. W. S. Barron, District Judge, Hon. A. S. Ware, County Judge, and the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas. Gentlement I an herewith submitting may official audit report of various county officials of Brazos Fyn County, Texas, for the calendar year ended December 31, 1951. yl} I find that all moneys and fees belonging to the County and collected by its various officials and employees were properly accounted for and paid over to the County Treasurer as the law requires, and that these items have been deposited in the official county depository to the credit of " the various county funds. Fe The County's outstanding bonded indebtedness was reduced $30,000.00 during 1951, by the pay- ment and retirement of that amount of outstanding bonds, so that with the end of the calendar year the bonded indebtedness of the County amounts to $611,000.00. Of this latter total the State of Texas, under the team of existing lave, will assume and pay off its portion in the amount of $291,247.50, thus leaving a net balance of $360,412.50 to be paid from the county funds. The total outstanding Road Machinery Warrants totaled $60,660.00 at the beginning of the year. 3 However, $20,000.00 of these were paid off and retired during the year, leaving a balance of $40,660.00 to be paid. The total assessed valuations for county purposes for the tax year of 1951-52 were $20,589,271.00 s or an increase of $4,417,340.64 over the previous year. During the year 12,095 motor vehicles were registered as compared with 12,050 for 1950 or an ' increase of 45. Revenues amounted to $181,007.89 with a net allocation to the Road and Bridge fund of 05 $111078.25. The 1951 figure is $4,812.22 in excess of the $106,566.03 received by the County in 1950. q;C} During the year a total of $154,590.21 of current and $4,842.96 of delinquent county taxes xz,a were collected, making a total of $159,433.17, as compared to the total of $137,891.89 for the previous year, or an increase of $21,541.28 over 1950. The aggregate cash balance on hand to the 'credit of various county funds on December 31, Y•' 1951, was $147,346.15 plus $40,660.00 invested in Brazos County Road Machinery Warrants, making a total; of $188,006.15 or an increase of $510287.03 over 1950. The net debt ratio is now 2.93 per cent and as result, the County enjoys the highest type of credit rating in the business and financial world. ' The expenditures of all county funds were held wall within or below the budget limits and in my opinion, the County's affairs were administered in an economical and business-lilac manner.
