On Commissioners Court of Brows County, Texas, met in special session in the office of the
County Judge at the Courthouse In Bryan, Texas, at nine•owolook a. on Saturdoy, November 24, 1951, with'
the following members presents
A. S. lb<re, County Judge, {residing;
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner, Precinct No. 11
Reuben P. Conrad, Commissioner, Precinot No. 21
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner, Precinct No. 3; and
Newton Burlin, commissioner, Precinct No. 4.
The purpose of this ape" meeting was to give further ooaeideratSon to the matter of the sale
of the one used TD IS Tractor advertised in accordance with prior autherisaticn by the Court. On motion
duly seconded and unanimouelyy approved by the four Commusionere and adapted by the Court witbout eppo
sition, it was voted to rescind the action taken an November 19, 1951, in rejecting the bids ads on the
TD 18 Tractor and to accept and approve the bid of $7000.00 cash nade by the Oulf Bitulithio Company of
Houston, Texan, which was found to be the highest and best bid for that equipment described as fbllares
One used TD 18 International Tractor, Serial No. TD-R24042T7CE, 87 drawbar horsepower,
equipped with 12-foot Bucy:ue-Erie angle dozers wed alightly more than one year, but
in firet-class working condition]
this bid and acceptance thereof being subject to final inspection and approval of'the egsipment by a rep-
resentative of the bidding company, and it such inspection should be favorable, then the purchase price
will be paid in cash by the representative of the company who will then be permitted to ramous the tractor
from the county; it being further conditioned that the money received from the sale of this egiipmant dull
be deposited in the Road Machinery and Equipment Fund of the County and earmarked for future use in the
purchase of gravel trucks to be assigned to Precinct No. 4 of which Mr. Newton Burlin is Commlesioner.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.
