Taylor, Negro County Now Demonstration Agent, for March, 19511 Y. D: Burley, Veterans Service Officer, for the month of March, 19511 Sheriff J. W. Hamilton appeared before the Court and reported that Deputy Sheriff Billie 0. ftterson had resigned effective March 31, 1951, in order to accept acre attractive employment and that in succession to Mr. Patterson he requested the appointment of Mr. Joss B. McGee u Deputy Sheriff of Brazos County, Texas, effective from April 9, 1951, with his compensation timed at the rats of $2540600 per annum as provided in the current budget. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted the Court approved Sheriff Hamilton's recommendation sod made the appointment of Mr. Jess B. McGee as Deputy Sheriff, effective from this date, with salary at the rate indicated. A motion was made, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, by which the Tax Assessor` Collector was authorised to secure the installation of an extension telephone in the back room of his office and to ,provide a buzzer for it if that be feasible. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills which have boo properly filed and approved and for which budgeted funds are available.
