SPECIAL MEETING, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1950
The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, met in special session in the office of

the County Judge at the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at ton o'clock a. m., on Friday, December 22, 1950,

with the following members presents

A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding;

Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner, Precinct No. 3; and
Newton Burlin, Commissioner, Precinct No. 4.

On motion by Commissioner Burlin, seconded by Commissioner Porterfield, and unanimously
adopted, it was voted that the Caanty purchase,hom Halsell Motor Company of Bryan
Texas
on its lowest

and best bid of $1234.95 cash, the following described motor vehicles

One new 1950 model Dodge }-tan pickup with deluxe cab and bed
;
and equipped with 600 x 16 six-ply tires an front and rear wheels,
t
to be paid from the Terracing Account of Precinct No. 3, and to be allocated to Commissioners Precinct
No. 3 of which Mr. Clyde J. Porterfield to Commissioner.
Whereupon the Court adjourned.

At eight o1clock a. m., on Monday, January 1, 1951, in the office of the-County Judge of
Brazos County, Texas, came A. S. Ware, heretofore elected to the office of the County Judge of Brazos
County, Texas, and upon having the statutory oath of office administered to him by Mrs. Charles E.

Gray, a notary public in and for Brazos County, Texas, then administered the statutory oath of office
-to A. B..Syptak, heretofore elected to the office of County Cleric of Brazos County, Texas, and then
'
administered the etatutory oaths of office to the four citizens who had been duly elected as County
Commissioners of Brazos County, Texae, as follows:
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No. 1;
William A. Conrad, Commissioner of Precinct No. 2;

Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct
No. 3; and

Newton Burlin, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4.
Whereupon the Commissioners Court, as thus constituted, proceeded to examine and approve

the bonds of County Judge A. S. Ware, and County Clerk A. B. Syptak, each for the sum of $5,000.00, con-
i
dittoned as required by law.
Thereafter, County Judge A. S. Ware administered the statutory oaths of office and the

Commissioners Court approved their official bonds, and the following scanty and precinct officers were
officially sworn in and entered upon their official dutiesr•
